Rock-A-Thon

Our annual Rock A Thon fundraiser is scheduled for August 16, 2019. The band program counts on fundraising to supplement the district funding, enabling us to compete at the highest levels, locally and nationally. The Stephen F. Austin H.S. Bulldog Band and Angels Dance Team capped their 2018 season with a return to the biennial 6A UIL Texas State Marching Championship. The 2019 season will feature the band competing on the national level, as we travel to the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional Championship.

As with any quality band program, the cost to fund our marching and concert seasons is very high. Although there are annual dues to fund some of the activities, there are still many costs – for example, music and drill writers, props, guest clinicians, semi-truck maintenance, equipment, buses to contests, and year-round supplemental music instruction – the things necessary to make our season both successful and memorable.

During the Rock A Thon event evening on August 16, the band will enjoy team-building activities and have a midnight marching rehearsal on the school parking lot practice field.

Donor letters will be on their way to our friends, family, and long-time supporters.

Here are two ways to donate to the band:

  • Checks can be made out to “AHSBBBC” and mailed back to: AHSBBBC Rock-A-Thon, 5826 New Territory Blvd #401, Sugar Land, TX, 77479-5948. To give credit to a specific student, please write the student’s name in the Memo of the check.
  • You can donate via PayPal with the button below!  You DO NOT need a PayPal account to donate via PayPal.  You may use any credit card to make a donation. To give credit to a specific student, please click on “Note to AHSBBBC” after you have logged in and add in the student’s name.
